To avoid being charged for your next month’s selection, simply log into your account and cancel your membership before the 1st of the month. If you cancel after you’ve been charged for the next month, don’t worry – you’ll still be able to select and keep that month’s book, and your account will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.
What to do with your account after cancelling
Once you have decided to cancel your Book of the Month membership, there are a few things you need to do in order to finalize your account. First, you will need to cancel any future shipments that have been scheduled. To do this, log into your account and go to the “My Account” page. From here, you will be able to view all of your upcoming shipments and cancel any that have not yet been shipped.
If you have any books that are currently in transit, you will need to wait until they arrive before you can finalize your cancellation. Once they have arrived, simply log into your account and select the “Return” option for each book. You will then be given instructions on how to return the book (usually just a matter of mailing it back to Book of the Month) and once they receive it, your account will be officially closed.
